Pisces and Gemini Compatibility: The Dreamer and the Communicator

For Pisces and Gemini, compatibility can be as elusive as these two characters themselves. There is an instant physical attraction, and this couple can be good friends, but the path to romantic bliss is rather more complicated than that. As the zodiac’s sensitive Dreamer, Pisces finds it hard to communicate his or her overwhelming feelings – whereas Gemini, the eternal Communicator, talks non stop while hiding from most actual emotions. It’s a tricky match.

There’s not a lot of temper in this mix, so unlike other water and air sign matches, Pisces and Gemini compatibility is not a tropical storm. When the couple can reach one another through their different ways of thinking, they create a gentle rainbow together – when the relationship works, it can be beautiful. More often, however, it’s just a damp shower, neither tempestuous enough to incite excitement nor shimmering enough to create awe. The problem lies in the extreme opposites of this couple when it comes to emotion. Depth of feeling is pretty much an alien concept to Gemini, and Pisces compatibility relies upon finding someone who can understand or at least sympathise with their cauldron of emotions.

Sure, Gemini the Communicator can say the right things to Pisces, mostly at the right time, but it’s on a superficial level. Pisces is not the most astute of signs and is easily deceived, so this could work for a while, but sooner or later during a Pisces emotional meltdown, it will become clear to both partners that Gemini here is out of their depth. At that point, Pisces and Gemini compatibility is in danger indeed. Pisces sensitivity is upset and frightened by Gemini’s emotional aloofness, while airy Gemini will feel tied down and hemmed in by Pisces demands.

Both signs are gentle and well meaning, so these partners will sincerely try to see eye to eye. The Dreamer, however, is ruled by mystical Neptune, a planet which creates illusions for better and for worse. Mixed with Gemini’s Mercury ruler, communication within this partnership can become dishonest, manipulative or deceitful; both partners may believe they’re only telling little white lies, but the trust between them will easily be broken. Pisces and Gemini compatibility can linger on through the deceit, but it’s only a matter of time before the illusion comes crashing down around their ears.

Having said that, when true love comes into play, romantic Pisces will do their utmost to adapt to and to understand Gemini. Gemini is a mutable sign too, and will do his or her fair share of compromising. Together they can learn to understand one another’s moods and will, in time, be less bewildered by each other’s behaviour. It’s not an easy relationship to quantify, however, and true Gemini and Pisces compatibility may remain just tantalisingly out of reach, no matter how hard the couple try.

It’s a shame when this partnership doesn’t work out, because together Gemini and Pisces can blend the strength of logic with the power of intuition, creating a remarkable joint power. This is what all Gemini and Pisces partnerships can achieve in the long run…but the challenge is getting past the bumps on the road that lead to this point. Essentially, Pisces and Gemini compatibility all too often fails because Gemini cannot or will not give Pisces the emotional support they crave, and because Pisces cannot or will not give Gemini the space they need.

This couple genuinely admire one another and they do care deeply, but ultimately this relationship often becomes one of those “if only…” types, where true happiness is never quite reached. At that point, it will be up to the Gemini partner to break it gently to Pisces that it’s time to move on. And Pisces will beg and plead and promise to try harder. And Gemini will be won over. And they’ll start again. Until next time. The Dreamer will keep dreaming and the Communicator will keep communicating and maybe, just maybe, if they dream and communicate enough, one of those beautiful rainbows will show up and keep this couple together. It’s one of those relationships which could or even should work, in theory, but for Pisces and Gemini compatibility is never as simple as that.

  1. So so so true

  2. This is so scarily true. I love my Pisces man so much but the last 3 months have been a roller coaster and it’s draining me but something in me still don’t wanna give up. We’ve broken up now after 17 months together. I miss him so much but his jealousy is so bad.

  3. I have been with my Gemini for 7 years. We have found that beautiful rainbow. 🙂

  4. This sounds so realistic, I have to say! I dated 2 Geminis over the years and those bad & good qualities really shine through.. & it did not last. Then along comes another sweet, attractive, brilliant Gemini and it’s off to the races, again! I think he may be more compatible than the others, but I am wary. However, I do have a Libra Moon and Mars in Aries, which ties in with two of his most compatible signs, so that may explain my constant attraction and appreciation for Geminis!.. So far, I’m still in the entranced phase and he’s behaving well, so we shall see!…I also feel myself falling for him, so it may be a hard fall!! 😉

    • I just hope we can be the rare exception!! The good things about him blow me away & seem better than I sensed with certain “ideal” Cancer, Scorpio, and Taurus boyfriends–that’s for sure… I hope he can handle me-heh, heh. He has a strong earth sign presence in his astrological chart medley, so that may help! 😛

Again, I think the “true love” factor may be kicking in!!…Help! (no, don’t help me-I’m so happy & excited) I think my Libra Moon is pretty strong..
