Scorpio and Aquarius Compatibility: The Sorcerer and the Visionary

Scorpio and Aquarius compatibility makes for an edgy, unusual and at times fraught relationship, but with (lots of) hard work, this couple can begin to understand the gulf of differences between them and to appreciate one another’s unique outlooks. The Visionary wants to change the world, and the Sorcerer has the power to make that happen, so this can be a very positive business relationship or friendship, but there are certainly plenty of emotional bumps in love. Read on to find out more about birthdate compatibility for this odd but powerful couple.

The biggest thing keeping these two apart is the same thing that somehow magnetically draws them together. For both Scorpio and Aquarius, compatibility is a mutual challenge. They each sense in the other someone they can’t easily have, and that intrigues them both. It’s not an easy going, instant relationship because both partners are initially reserved and cautious. Their different methods of emotional expression are so alien to one another that they may as well be from different planets….but that’s interesting to them both. Scorpio feels every last emotion with a depth and an intensity that few can match; Aquarius remains cools, distant and above most emotions, so it’s easy to see where the emotional mismatch happens.

It’s not just a conflict between emotional and unemotional when Scorpio and Aquarius get together. There’s also a battle going on between an inward self expression by Scorpio, who likes to be alone or with just a few people, and an outward self expression by Aquarius, who loves to be surrounded by others and who functions best as a social being. Compromise over the couple’s social life will certainly be necessary if Scorpio and Aquarius compatibility is to flourish, but the ongoing differences here are likely to be a source of friction no matter how hard the couple tries to meet in the middle.

Both signs are fixed signs, which in astrological terms means that you’re looking at one very stubborn couple. Both opinionated and absolutely certain that their way is the right way, this couple will have trouble seeing the world through each other’s eyes, which is a necessary first step towards compromise of any kind. For Scorpio and Aquarius, compatibility is a very hot and cold affair – as soon as they’re over one hurdle, another comes their way. There’s an element of defiance about both of these signs too, and both can be somewhat emotionally perverse, so you get the impression that this couple make life even harder for themselves than it need be.

Aquarius, the Visionary, is ruled by unpredictable Uranus, and by cool, rational Saturn. Scorpio, the Sorcerer, is ruled by passionate, red hot Mars, and by powerful and controlling Pluto. The Sorcerer’s need to control their world (and those in it) will meet its match in the Visionary’s need to be free from any control at all. For Scorpio and Aquarius compatibility to work at its best, Scorpio will need to lose some possessiveness and let Aquarius have his or her freedom – at least, some of it. Aquarius, in return, will need to pay more attention to Scorpio’s emotions, and to be less aloof and off-hand with their passionate, soulful mate.

If the couple can make the relationship work, this can be a very dignified and respectful partnership. The Scorpio Sorcerer can help the Visionary put some of those progressive plans into action, while the Visionary can help the Sorcerer shake off the bonds of too much emotion and enjoy the lighter side of life. It can be a beautiful balance, but ultimately both of these people are strong characters in their own right, and not necessarily given to balance of any kind. When Scorpio shows too much jealousy, or Aquarius shows too much rebelliousness, the relationship will wobble severely. Can the Sorcerer and the Visionary pull it together? Of course, if they are truly in love. Birthdate compatibility is only a guide, and we humans are know for our capacity to overcome obstacles when in love – so yes, there can be a happily ever after. However, for Scorpio and Aquarius, compatibility will be a difficult prize.

  1. ohhh this relationship is no problemo.
been married awhile with my scorpio husband.

i love the intensity and all the good yummy stuff. i’m too tired to say more but it’s a very weird match indeed but so yummy.

  2. At least a little? No. I’m an Aquarius and I do what I want, when I want. I’m also highly manipulative and a damn good liar. I uncover what’s hidden. A Scorpio has never fooled me once. I however, have manipulated Scorpios. I notice everything. Emotions don’t get to me, in a verbal fight… Scorpio is in tears, I’m not. I know what I say hurts. And I intend hurt. However, I’m above emotions so I take people’s opinions with less than a grain of salt. So, I’m there powerful, poker-faced, while Scorpio is an emotional mess. I, the Aquarian am a force to be reckoned with.

    • Thats nothing to be proud of, I’m Aquarian too but Decan 2, the emotional control that I have and quick ability to see past all bs and insults and see reasons behind everything instead of lashing back, allowed me to be a great communicator and influencer, but I didn’t use it to hurt scorpio girl, and even show her her faults, (maybe in certain ways :P), it would not lead to anything. instead I designed my response to bring out best in her. It takes patience to deal with scorpio and sometimes her sting gets tiring, but once you plant a seed and keep nourishing it, her love and respect will keep growing and it is intense!!! It ends thought if you become stuborn, scorpio woman don’t like to make a move, they want you to prove your “worth” to them, Its worth it if you will find a way to be the humanitarian/entreprenuer/revolutionary you meant to be, but still give her time and satisfy her desires. she’ll be jealous and cunning, but if you are amused by that and STILL want to bring out best in her, she’ll reward you greatly)))))
